N5895A

N5895A is a 1956 Cessna 172. We bought this plane in 1989. Since then we've flown it to Sun 'n Fun in Florida, the EAA fly-in in Oshkosh, Wisconin, Freeport in the Bahamas, and on plenty of flights to destinations closer to home. There are approximately 3400 hours on the airframe. The engine was overhauled approximately 500 hours ago. Niner-five alpha was painted in 1997. There isn't much in the way of instrumentation. We have a panel mounted loran and a VOR for navigation. We also have a hand-held GPS. There is no vacuum pump, so the vacuum instruments are powered by venturi's.

These are some pictures that were taken by my neighbor (from the 3-D world, not Fortune City)

Niner-five alpha tucked snuggly in her home. This is me getting intimate with Niner-five alpha.

Baltimore City (looking from the east). Niner-five alpha's sparse instrument panel.

Niner-five alpha's home (Essex Skypark). A little closer to the runway at Essex.
